Hard to beat.

Great pack.

Terry Fahey at winger is the only surprise. But I'm sure there were lots of candidates.

I'm not surprised to see Fahey in there

A great finnisher who could also make something out of nothing, much like the Guru.

Not sure about that Chang bloke, lucky he got to play against Ken Thornett in the late 60s.

Sort of a Luke Skywalker and Yoda situation.

He learned from the master :D .

lol. Its a great team all round.
Just heard on the footy show Tommy Raudonikis calling Chang captain-coach. They did the same thing when RLW named a team of champions about 20 years ago.

They're getting into the piss down there tonight. :D

Beetson was also allowed to vote, i do not see why they should not be allowed, they both deserved their places in the side.

maybe because they were two of the greatest players from the 1970's who both acheived a lot both in their playing careers and afterwards.

Both were also shoe ins to be make the side.

If one of the more debateable spots went to a judge I c ould understand but there was no way either was going to miss out on the team.

Nice bloke Chang.

I got introduced to him when he had a pub in Kempsey (a few years back) and he bought me a beer and we had a chat.

And as for Krilich getting a head start, well, he was sort of known to knock back one or two in his day.

Wouldn't matter if Artie could or could not vote, he deserved to be there.

Yeah, it seems they picked them on their career form rather than just their form in the 1970s. Boustead was great in 1978 and 1979 while playing for Australia, but he had a very mediocre year for the Roosters in '79 and, of course, was not even playing in the Sydney competition in 1978.

Similarly, Terry Fahey's best form was in 1981/82.
