FT 0-1.

Well it improved marginally in the second half. We may have made it too cr*p level. At the moment when we're bad, we're really really bad. Had we played a decent mob today and played like that, we'd have been smashed by 6 or 7.

Was a crap pitch and poor conditions, but the passing was awful. Gave the ball away far too much. Sloppy in our own 3rd again too.

To be honest this result does not surprise me at all. I said to my brother last night that this was on the cards.

On a minor plus, Dennilson got just over 10 minutes and although not a lot to do, he looked right up to it for a 17 year old. Him an Walcott have big futures ahead for them.

Anyhow time for a snooze. One of those games to forget straight up and get ready for the next one. Not a good result, but you do expect to drop points over the xmas period and as I said in the above post, I always like to hope for 9 out of the 12 points. So 3 against Charlton at Emirates will achieve that.

Just read elsewhere that it's the worst performance from us since the 80's when we were expected to play like that.

Probably a fair call

One of those damn games. Said that a couple of times this season. When we're bad, we make sure we're really bad. No point doing a half assed job of it.

Yep Stokes gone for 2.2m. But to Sunderland.

On the display from Aliadiere this morning, it doesn't surprise. We've got a lot of striking talent.

Well, what a start to 2007.

3 games, 13 goals for and 4 against. Went to Anfield twice and rolled them twice in the Cups. I enjoyed this mornings game more then the FA Cup win. I had a feeling we'd roll them in the FA Cup as our first team is a lot better than theirs. But to see our kids (6 teenagers in starting lineup) go to Anfield and do that was great. And it was impressive the way they fought back when Liverpool got it to 1-1. And so many of them have a future, even when we play the ball out of defence its with confidence and on the deck for the most part. Wengers is a genius!

It's a nothing cup but it's great for the kids to gain experience and for them to have now gone to the Hawthorns, Goodison and Anfield and win each time is great to see. We certainly have some good ones coming through.

Great to see Diaby back. He's like a new signing after that Sunderland tosser broke his hankle 9 months ago.

And go Tomas!!!

Gilberto named Arsenal.com player of the month. Well deserved, he's been awesome!

Just posted the cup dates in the spuds/gunners semi thread.

Adebayor back in the squad for Blackburn. Gallas, Eboue, Ljungberg the only ones out injured. Lauren just about back to fitness.

"Oh we do like to be beside the Seaside" song...

Oh we do like to beat the Pool at Anfield.
Oh we do like to beat the Pool 6-3,
Oh we do like to see the Arsenal score for fun,
Watching Rafa Frown,
Paletta on his bum,
Oh we de like to beat the pool at Anfield,
Oh we do like to beat the pool 6-3,
And Baptista he scored 4,
And he could have had much more,
Beside the Mersey, we won 6-3

Blackburn 0 - Arsenal 2.

Brilliant 10 man performance!!!

Obviously if you play with 10 men from the 12th minute and go onto score 2 goals and win it's been a great performace by all players. However a big up to the midfield trio of Hleb, Rosicky and Fabregas. Even playing short, these 3 guys were everywhere. Hleb is really becomming the cats tits too, he keeps getting better and better!

Toure header for the first from an Henry freekick. Second goal the killer and it was a gem from Henry. Great running again from Fabregas and with Rovers players all around they put together a neat one-two with TH finishing like TH does.

Gilberto the man to go off on 12 minutes. Was hacked twice by the king of hackers Robbie Savage. That guy is a real tool! Gilberto lashed out though in retaliation and had to go although he hardly hurt Savage who went down like he'd be hit with a truck.

Rob Styles once again sh*t. I really don't know how this guy is a top flight official. How the hell Tugay wasn't sent off for that disgraceful challenge on Fabregas which was right under the refs nose, I'll never know. Thank christ Fabba wasn't seriously injured although I suspect it'll be hurting right now. Niell could have been sent too after Van P beat the last man and would have been in one-on-one in the first half. Another missed from the incompetent Styles.

Have to give Clichy a mention. He's the ducks nuts at left back. CAshley who? Gael is doing what most Arsenal fans thought he would once he got his shot at the starting spot. General opinion over the past few seasons was that he'd take over from CAshley at some stage and the fact that we got Gallas must really make Wenger laugh.

Well probably should get a few hours sleep now

Great effort Arsenal.

Home to Emirates now for the Mancs next Sunday. We'll miss Gilberto in the middle, but we're playing well. Will be a great game.

Yep big match.

Emirates record on the line!

Be interesting to see how we lineup without Gilberto... Will he slot Flamini in to do that role... Wouldn't be surprised to see Henry up top by himself with Baptista filling the hole in a 5 man mid.
