Rosicky’s injury is 'minor, minor, minor'
By Richard Clarke
Tomas Rosicky’s groin injury is not as bad as first thought.
On Tuesday — as usual on a Champions League trip - Arsène Wenger spoke to the press before and after his flight.
In the departure lounge his tone over the Czech midfielder’s problem was somewhat pessimistic but, by the time the manager spoke in his press conference in Prague, positive news had filtered through about Rosicky’s tests that afternoon.
"We feel he will be fit for Monday [against Reading],” said Wenger “He had a scan today and it came back clear. It is a minor, minor, minor problem.
“He is a very conscious professional and you cannot fault him on his attitude. What is happening with him is never big problems, they are only small ones.”

Adebayor - Speedy Walcott can impress again
By Richard Clarke
The Champions League education of Theo Walcott will continue tonight and, once again, a match against Slavia Prague will be his classroom.
The 18-year-old taught the Czech League leaders a painful lesson at Emirates Stadium a fortnight ago with two goals in that 7-0 demolition. It was his first European start and he was paired up front with Emmanuel Adebayor. The Togolese striker was impressed with what he saw.
"We all know that Theo is a good player and we all trust him as well,” said the 23-year-old. "He is someone who has got everything.
“He is still young and is still learning but for sure he can do something good again tonight.
"The way he plays is unbelievable at times because he is running from everywhere. Theo is very quick and uses his pace very well.”
In his pre-match press conference, Wenger did not guarantee that Walcott would reprise his role up front. He may be used on the right in a much-changed Arsenal side however the manager is trying to fast-track the youngster on the back of his fine form recently.
"Theo is doing well at the moment,” said the Frenchman. “He was good against Sheffield United in the Carling Cup as well as the first game against Slavia Prague.
"I’ll give him experience as much as I can, but he is very close to the team anyway. This is another good opportunity for him."

Wenger - I've never had doubts about Song
By Richard Clarke
Alex Song may be barely 20 years-old but his starting berth at centre half against Slavia Prague tonight feels like a comeback.
It will be only the third time the Cameroonian has begun a game for Arsenal outside the Carling Cup. The last time he did that he was playing in midfield at Fulham on November 29, 2006. It was a difficult night for both players and team. He was substituted at half time as Arsenal went down 2-1.
This season, Song has been converted to central defence with some success. Impressive Carling Cup appearances against Newcastle and Sheffield United have paved the way for him to replace the injured Kolo Toure in the Czech capital.
“He will start and it will be a big test for him,” said Wenger on the eve of the tie. “[The Fulham game affected him] in the minds of people, yes. Afterwards people asked how can a player like Song come to Arsenal?
“Yes, on the night against Fulham, he was not good. But he was like the rest of the team.
“I never had any doubts about him. There are things that you cannot cheat when you see someone everyday in training.
“He is more mature now. People forgot how old he is. He is 20 years-old and that loan spell at Charlton helped him to grow up.
“If you ask him, he prefers to play central midfield, but I feel that he just wants to play now.
“He is very strong one-against-one and reads the game well. He is calm. He is good on the ball and good in the air. That will be important for us tonight.”
