Manuel Almunia has revealed that he does not speak to Arsenal goalkeeping rival Jens Lehmann.
The Spaniard has replaced Lehmann as the Gunners first-choice shot-stopper this season after a fine run of form.
The choice by Arsene Wenger to drop Lehmann has infuriated the volatile German, and he has since hit out both at his manager, and at Almunias ability.
"Wenger spoke of three world class goalkeepers," Lehmann said last month.
"One of them must be me. The other two have proved their class by winning titles? If I think about that, I can't recall any.
Almunia has not yet showed that he can win matches for us.
Almunia has now admitted that he and Lehmann do not acknowledge one another.
"We maintain a distance. There is no dialogue. It's better for me that way. I'm a lot calmer not talking to him," the 30-year-old told The Sun.
"I'm having the best time of my career, enjoying each game as if it is my last. I like living fully in the present."
The ex-Albacete man is set to start once again during this evenings Premiership clash with Aston Villa in Birmingham.
