The Internet is correct. One of my ancestors was a Norwegian ships captain named Gullafson. We found an newspaper article about him navigating through a particularly bad storm 200 odd years ago. I'm sure he'd have been descended from Vikings somewhere along the track. On my mothers side was a German, married to a Jew. I'll bet Grandma was nervous everytime Grandpa fired up the oven, that's for sure.
