Well melbourne Storm has cost over $100m= , to put a team in an expansion area..

And look at gws and GC suns... burning $15m a year each easy

If North Sydney can alleviate this cost to the tune of $4-5m... why would you call it Pirates.. ?

Still very questionable why storm had that big agap in revenue to expenditure for all those years.

Like I said the football operating costs are going to be fixed for the first time ever. $15mill. Clubs are getting $13mill. grant.
That means that a club should be sustainable bringing in $3-5mill revenue beyond grant. Given most clubs Bring in $3mill plus on sponsorships, then add in $3-5million in memberships, merch and gate takings and I don’t see why all clubs, including new ones arent going to be ok from now on.

Re why not take bears money, for all the reasons mentioned in the other thread!
