Anyone who hasn't read this, I suggest you give it a look.

For those who don't already know, the poster we know as AlbertRosenfeld, and sometimes ArtieBeetson, is a professor in international politics at an Americn University (Johns Hopkins) and as such his posts are always very insightful and interesting.
I think this is one of his best, and it is sinking without a trace on WORL.

So he's the one that called himself Artie Beetson on the WORL Community Boards .....
What a DICKHEAD !
I couldn't give a rats arse if it's a good post or not. ThatWANKER was askeda number oftime, by more than one person I might add, to reveal whether he was the real Artie Beetson or not, and never had the f**kin' decency to respond anddeny (or admit)it.
As far as I'm concerned, he's a f**kin' fraud.
f**k HIM !(scumbag peice of shit)

He paints a grim picture. I have been told I was wrong when I said the same.
The grass roots movement is the way to go but the idea of somehow doing it without the current club structure means doing it without the players theyhave contracted .My limited knowlege of English league tells me that many of the bosses are wealthy men often without league backgrounds. They want power and then more power. These men do not give away what they have.
The article finishes with the king, country and empire exhortation. It ignores the blood and guts fight that will be needed. Not against the enemy code but against the established league owners and media manipulators. Don't call the people to battle without explaining the road ahead or you might find it a lonely journey.
The legal battles are going to cost, the promotion is going to cost.In short it is going to cost time money and friendships.Whatever the cost it can only be covered if budgeted for in advance. The masses have been fooled too many times to fight without being told the whole story.

He stopped using that name because of the confusion it was causing. The confusion was not only caused by the name, but also because his posts were so insightful and knowledgable that a lot of people were left wondering if he was the real deal.
If I have a 'gripe' with the good prof. it is that he posts and does not seem to read or reply to the questions raised, but after thinking about it, he is probably a very busy man, unlike most of us.

Well Roopy, let me tell you something bud, if the wanker finds the time to post, than he should have the f**kin'decency to find the time to respond to questions directed to him.
Especially when those very questions appear in his own thread ... the ones that he started.Yet he avoids those questions, and posts something else directly after them. You sure he isn't the 'head wanker' Matt O, also ?
If you don't believe me, look back at some old WORL threads ..... you'll see I was right, becauseI remember them as clear as daylight.
Why the f**k would anyone use a (very)well known Rugby League figure's identity as a Memberin a Chat Forum anyway ?

Oh and Roopy ...... just to prove I'm not a dog, and am only saying this whilst he isn't here, head over to WORL now, and I'll drag the most recent post of his and say it to his 'face.'
Let's see then if he finds the time to respond ...

Studebaker,
As I said, I agree with your gripe. I wish he would take the time to read and reply. His followup posts are usually afterthoughts and have the look of being written in word and copied on to the board. I don't think he reads replies, and I have often been left to argue his points with others.
I would rather have his input than not though, even if he will not support his opinions when they are challenged.

You are wasting your time. I don't think he will read it, and I know he won't reply.
I have a feeling that, if you ever did manage to draw him into a slanging match, you would wish you didn't.

Well I've done it Roopy.
... and if you do speak to the 'good' Professor about a slanging match, tell him to f**kin' BRING IT ON !!!
I'm logging off for the day now, but believe you me I will be on the look out for his 'educated' reply on the WORL thread that i just posted on.

There were a few comments in the chatroom last night about how much of a fan I am of AlbertRosenfeld and I thought I should explain why.
When I first came on to the WORL message board the RLWC had just finished and everyone was trying very hard to declare it a huge success.
It was clear to me that it had been goodfor expanding the game but had not delivered a competitive or popular contest.
At that time AlbertRosenfeld, using the name Artie Beetson, put up a tremendously well thought out post on starting an alternate international competition to be held every four years, between World Cups, involving Australia, GB, NZ and a combined Pacific Islands and PNG team.
This idea was torn to shreds by all those who were striving to be 'patriotic' to League by declaring all was rosy in the Rugby League garden.
I, and a few others who I can't remember for now, stuck up for the idea and suggested a few 'improvements'.
AR/AB put all these ideas together with his original idea and declared he was going to put it before the international Rugby League, under his real name, for consideration. At the time he said this I had no idea who he was and thought he was talking crap.
I was wrong, Prof. Stephen Morris used his status as a Professor at one of the worlds most prestigious Universities to get his proposal put on the agenda of the last meeting of the International Rugby League Board. A few months ago I asked him in a thread how his proposal had gone. He had been notified that they had not had time at the meeting to discuss his proposal.
Maybe it all came to nothing, but that was as close as I have seen to anyone on this board actually making a difference.
AR does not say who he is in real life, but he left enough clues that I was able to work it out.
He has a great love of international Rugby League, and the intellect and influence to do something good for the game.
Any posts he puts up are well thought out and well written. As far as I am concerned, they are well worth my time to read and respond to, far more so than almost any other posts that appear on the various message boards.

Stude, I'm fairly sure that AlbertRosenfeld isn't MattO. Although I know next to nothing about him, I'm prettysure he was in the UK at the time of the challenge cup final......how would I know?He emailed me asking if I was interested in buying a ticket. Now, I'm sure MattO wouldn't have done that.
