 Hopefully he'll be like the Dragons - everyone waiting for em to choke and they just keep going.

Pitch invasion was awesome. So many people ripping turf out and taking it home

He better implode, i don't like egg on my face.

Sydney are going to put in a new pitch IIRC. Hopefully we do a pitch invasion too.

Man, my team plays some beautiful football. Really great performance again last night, Nicholls, Broich and McKay fantastic. When Solorzano gets on to the field, if he can get anywhere near living up to the reputation he was making in Costa Rica we will start scoring a'plenty.

so are Mariners still just lucky to be second on the ladder or do they deserve credit for being where they are ?

cant do much more than they have done so far this season and I don't think anyone had them in the top 4

Who said anything about lucky Twiz?

I'm actually happy to put my hand up and say I thought with Arnold they'd surprise people and make the finals.

The real surprise packet are Brisbane.

Really good to watch. If only they had someone capable of finishing.

What on earth was that penalty for?

Clearly, you're taking the piss because it was obvious :sarcasm:

crisis club Sydney FC. Nice goal by Ramsay. Three games have been decided in added time this round.

I mean seriously, how could they NOT win that game.

They dominated, conceded an unluck own goal to make it 1-1, then dominated only to lose it in injury time

It was like Brisbane's game last night, except the goal at the death was against you. And Brisbane's football was much sexier. Adelaide have won 6 out of 9. They won just 7 games all season last year, after three times as many matches. What a turn around.

Brisbane's next three games are at home, after our last two performances I'm feeling damn confident we're gonna be able to establish ourselves near the top of the ladder. Hopefully we can attract some decent crowds too.

when the football gods arent with you, there isnt much you can do.

Ange has done a brilliant job at Brisbane.

Looks like he was right when he was making all those changes last season.

Part of Sydney's problem is they havent lifted with the overall quality of the other sides this year

That first Adelaide goal, fair dinkum. If that's not a foul, I don't know what is. How can 7000 people see it and he not?

Timmah, you're complaining about the Adelaide goal? Sydney gets one of the biggest non-penalties in the history of the sport and that's what worries you? The ref might have blown his whistle but in the lead up to Adelaide's leveller, but you see incidents like that called play-on all the time.

Fish_eel, yeah, I'm glad he got rid of the thug element from the Roar. Gosh, I felt like a Manchester United supporter at times, and I've got too much integrity for that. A man's gotta have a team he can feel proud of, after all.

Yeah, it was a penalty. Technically a penalty but I guess you see that shirt pulling on EVERY set piece and its never called.

I'm looking forward to seeing Fozzie give Ange a wrap, he cant not, and they've had some big run ins over the years.

As an aside, how good has the A-League been this year?

There's been a bit of a lull the last few rounds with a few low-scoring draws, but it seems to have re-ignited again. What's up with Newcastle though? Four goals in eight games, only nine total goals scored in the matches they've been involved in. I don't think I've watched any of their games yet this season, (I'd planned to watch the Roar away game actually, but thankfully I was coerced by my girlfriend into going out for lunch) what has their football been like?

Bruce Djite, couldnt' score for his life in Turkey and now he's firing them in like crazy in the A-League. I dunno if this is a positive or a negative.

Still a long way to go in the season.
