Richard Johnson  Newcastle United Jets

is this as the 'marquee' player that each team is allowed to sign??

great to see him return home...and will still have plenty to offer...he would only be about 30 or 31 wouldn't he??

Not sure I think he's about 29 or 30, his contract with QPR is up next may, and he's keen to come home

The mariners also have alex tobin up there doing work for the club off the field. Anyone know if any clubs are after adam kwasnik - him and tomasevic are in superb form in the nsw premier league.
Vuko Tomesavic is a legend!!!! When i was younger i use to get his beers for him at the club after spirit games. Also scored the best goal ive ever seen. got it on disc but dont know how to put it on the net.

but yeh dont know if any a-leage clubs are interested

Tomasevic is not in the Mariners plans he and McKinna do not see eye to eye.

Duncan Ferguson is also out of Mariner plans.

The marquee player the Mariners are going after and are well advanced as far as discussions are concerned is Simon Colosimo.

son of American marathon legend Alberto Salazar, Alejandro Salazar from the MSL has signed with Sydney FC as has Mark Rudan. Sydney FC have opted against signing Okon.

QLD Lions have signed 2 korean internationals which is pretty impressive. cant remember there names but one played in the 98 world cup the other in 2002 campaign. There new logo and name will be released early january. Fernando Rech who played with the strikers in the mid 90's will sign with the Lions and may bring some brazilians with him.

Kevin Muscat as unlikely as it may seem has hinted about playing for Melbourne. Melbourne Victory are yet to sign a single player.

Danny Milosevic has signed with Auckland Kingz who are currently considering rebranding themselves.

All A-League teams will be kitted out by Reebok.

The 3 day A-league workshop was completed a few days ago and was given a massive thumbs up.

Adelaide have already started training with there squad so far. Brisbane, Sydney, Mariners and Jets will start training late january early march.

Adleaide United admin are trying to get a preseaon comp. started.

All clubs are impressed with public feedback. Sponsors are also banging down there doors.

Sydney FC are coming along nicely. Zdrillic, Corica, Bolton are all class.

And they reckon Zrillic isn't the marquee player

How will Central Coast go folks?
I'd like nothing better than to see them host a big game (grand final would be nice) at Gosford and sell the stadium out.
Football has massive potential on the coast and a successful side could do anything to the game up here.
If they are amongst the also rans it may strain the old finances or am I too harsh?

I can't believe that all teams will be kitted out by Reebok!! The governing body have a HUGE deal with Nike. I couldn't see Nike being content with it.

Things are looking good for the Mariners with more signings announced yesterday, plus several more in the works.
Going to be so good to see a packed Express Advocate stadium watching the Mariners 8)
