I was talking to a reliable source. He told me langmack isn't respected by the players. I said, I've heard reports that he doesn't sleep and is up 24/7 with his coaches hat on. He basically told me that he's always missing training sessions etc. No wonder souths can't perform on the field.

this guy 'A Reliable Source' seems to know ALOT of people who post on this forum!
Maybe he should sign up and get his own account, and fill us all with his inside knowledge!

The strange thing is that this is a story that is not uncommon.
While it is still a rumour (so watch yourselves :p), there seems to have been a lot of talk about this over the last year.

I think that 2004 is definately the make or break year for p.langmack.
He has to perform or he is gorne. Im sure he is not naive enough to believe otherwise - so lets just hope that he turns it around.

Yeah, I've heard it before, and I've also heard the players come out and deny that there is any problem, but that doesn't make as good a story...
There needs to be significant improvement for Langers to keep his job. I'd like to think that he can do it, and still be there to work with all these talented juniors we've been picking up.....

I think one of the worst mistakes Souths have made was to sign Langmack for 3 years.

He had "no runs on the board" but got the job anyway. I can understand if Souths signed him for a year, but 3 years? There were other contenders but they opted him instead. Strange!

exactly - it all depends on who you talk to.
I know ive spoken to players who didnt have anything bad to say about langers although some ppl claim to have spoken to other players and heard the opposite.

At the end of the day the only thing i care about is Souths winning games. if langmack can get the team to play like they should then im happy - if not see ya later

Langmack has obviously aliented a few players by his treatment of them. One of them wouldn't be your source would it, a new recruit for the Knights perhaps ;-)

It has been written in the papers that Langmack is not liked by most players.

They get fined for nearly everything.

Some players have been fined for wearing the wrong shirts to training.

Players are hired to play League......Not for their love hate of their coach....What player loves their coach anyway?

I doubt that any coach is liked by every player within the playing ranks however a club needs a good working relationship between the players and the coach to be successful. They don't have to like each other and go out and have a few beers however they do have to be able to tolerate being in the same place at the same time.

If one player doesn't get along with the coach it can be worked around however if there are more players who don't see eye to eye with the coach it makes for a difficult season for everyone. There are always rumblings of discontent in lots of clubs but Souths seems to have thunder regularly as opposed to a slight rumble.
