Just heard on Sports Tonight that the ARU will be engaging the services of a recruiting specialist to find a replacement for John O'Neill, who will step down on the 27th of Feb, 2004.

Well, Ando thinks Union is a boring game. Perhaps Union has a 'culture' problem, Ando??? A BORING culture, or something similar? How about you rock on in, screw the game, turn Australian Rugby into a minnow instead of a top 4 outfit, and then blame the ARU board for not backing you in your efforts to develop a new, non-boring culture? Then, when they punt you in 2006, you can cry foul and whinge that they 'never give ya a fair go'. Oh, and don't forget to front the TV cameras with that classy 3 day growth, and wear your best faded polo shirt when you front the board to tell them what dopes they are.

There is strong talk that Chris Anderson himself actively went about persecuting 4 players who left the club during his reign long after they had moved on to other pastures.

Ironic that you use that accusation in defence of him.

Tim Sheens took some calls from Anderson basically pleading him not to sign Nick Graham, hence the last minute two and fro-ing between Graham and the broncos/tigers. Anderson went out of his way to call Sheens to tell him Graham not only had a terrible training ethic and attitude problem, but also had a chronic hamstring and knee problem, total fabrication. Sheens could not care less about Andersons thoughts on Grahams attitude or training as he knew better from people who did not have a cross to bear, but the tigers wanted medical confirmation and so went cold on the deal, Graham talked to the broncos and was almost on the plane when the tigers said they would take him after a medical showed he was 100%.

I think the source is beekershark because the exact same story with the exact same tone was reported by beeker on the old O Forum just before it was closed when the Graham Tiger/Bronco affair was still running

The reason why i doubt this story, is because NG was remarkebly humble when he got the arse. There was no "whining" to the media.
