A question for those at the game

couldnt make it and the TV doesnt contain many wide shots

did the dogs wingers drop back early on the 3rd in defence or was it my imagination

I thought a few times they were dropping back early but I thought it was the 4th. We often had an overlap though. On a couple of occasions they were very compressed too which may have given the impression that there was no winger.

I couldn't see there was a plastic cup in front of my eye's all arvo.

and you are right the dogs compression makes them look short on the outside

Yeah it seemed to me that all we had to do was give the ball to Covell or Simmons and they were away. El Masri really had no answer for the new age Mellor (Covell)...

It seemed to me like the problem was in the middle of the park. Three or four tackles into the set the Dogs forwards were exhausted and having trouble getting back. As a result the sides game in to plug gaps in the middle and therefore opened up space out wide.
Have to agree with Connell, Luke made "El magic" look "El mediocre"
