One of my favourite NFL players, Shannon Sharpe, broke the TD record for Tight Ends today. Not bad for a converted Receiver picked in the 7th round. Onya Shannon.

yeh it has been a brilliant career, shame he had to have his breakout game when i was playing against him in the fantasy league i have with my mates, its cost me the game and knocked me out of the playoffs

Surely Sharpe will go down as the greatest ever TE to play the game.

If there is one defining play for Shannon Sharpe for mine it was a third and long against Pittsburgh in the AFC Championship game in the 97 season. He had been very queit for the entire game and just when he was needed most, he stepped up and took the catch from Elway to get the first down and secure the Broncos place in the Super Bowl. We all know what happened next.

He has had a stellar career winning three Superbowls with two different sides. Well done Shannon Sharpe!
