I think by sack the OP meant drop tbh...obviously we can't just shred his contract (sadly)...

Why mate?

What would he possibly offer as a reserve hooker?

Slow service? Poor passing? No pace or running game? Poor kicking options? Slow off the ground in defence?

What game scenario would you think to yourself - hey there's twenty to go, we need those options to win this game?

He needs to go. Hopefully he will spit the dummy and look elsewhere.

Panthers are always desperate for halves. Maybe we could swap him for a couple of good young forwards and create a win-win situation?

Totally agree, why even put Finch on the bench? he has no impact on the game whatsoever, i'd f**king rather Peter McPhail.

Finch = 14.

I know you differ between heart and head, being blue and gold to the core
is a priveledge, not a curse and you see it as it is.
Finch has to be in the team somewhere as he adds intensity, he can tackle, and he talks in the defencive line. His passing and running are not up to standard but these other qualities mean he is needed, if at no.14 so be it.;-)

THat game did it for me.

I never liked Finch but willing to put him somewhere coz the stuff he does off the ball.

He was shifted to hooker. He drew the ball away from keating thinking that he still had control of the team.

He then went missing. KK was standing there as first receiver and thought where the f?ck is the dummy half (finch btw) and he never turned up and so KK had to go there himself.

It's time to bring back the FOF group,

why? because in an ideal world Finch would be playing for Wenty and Matt Keating would be on for 80 minutes meaning that we can probably carry a 4th sizeable and mobile player but the problem is that Matt's dummy half service appears to be struggling the more game time he plays used..if you think that Kinga and Robson are options than we're probably going worrse than you think.

give me a capable 7 and 9 who will play for 80 minutes and i mean compete for 80 minutes and I'll personaly throw a wenty jersey at Finch.

There are plenty of options rather than Finch at 14.
Burt could play back up hooker / half with 100 times the penetration and skill level than Finch with Reddy or Hayne dropping back to 1.

Frankly Kingston would be far more effective at hooker than Finch.

I think putting him to 14 is trying to be half pregnant.

Hell I'll put my hand up...can't do much worse. And that's the thing, can we do worse than Finch at 7? Aside from a ridiculous selection like a prop, I don't think we can at the moment

Actually that might not be completely ridiculous?

Cayless to number 7 and pick a prop who makes meters and we've killed 2 birds with one stone!

Imagine Cayless' ball-playing skills behind a bruising forward pack:crazy:
