If he had any morals or decency, there is an option for him & for the club.
But you know what, low lifes don't have morals.
They support "players" but put at risk their livelihood.
They say they want whats best for the club, but try ripping it to shreds.
They scream for peace but blindly antagonise.

Here you go Mr Anderson.
An easy out of court settlement.

Tell the club that you will drop any actions against the club if three of your antagonists resign for a minimum 5 years.
Make it public. Then we will all know that you really did have whats best for the club in mind.

Bet ya don't.

Yep, as I said on another thread - anybody with an ounce of nous woulda seen this coming a mile off.
And I think the idea of a such a challenge by Anderson to the Board is a good one.
But all these goings on really make me wonder:
now, the Board has a number of legal minds e.g Barnett, Crowley. Surely they would have seen this coming. Perhaps the club has a watertight defence against such action, but I can't see it. Surely, the legal and business `brains' on the Board could have instituted plans to avoid or lessen the disruption. This got me to thinking:
now the Board seem to have allowed the situation to reach it's worst possible result, and the advancement of the Club's Site Development seems to have slowed down or stalled. Perhaps the Board have an agenda they we haven't been told e.g. relocation or, even worse, extinction. We seem to be heading in this direction. Ooops! Shut up, Popper. You'll be branded a `conspiracy theorist' again. :(

The legal brains you mention Popper were giving their opinions with the Gow affair.

These opinions had the Chairman saying at the AGM that they would win the case.

Gow won a $100k, which was far less than he was asking but far more than they expected, and now the courts have ruled costs against the Sharks.

So essentially Gow won everything but the courts disagreed with the amount he was owed.

Couple that with the court transcripts and it doesn't fill you with confidence.

They really better hope that they can settle out of court.

Yep. And the club has just been ordered to pay court costs over the Gow affair too. It just goes from bad to worse. Maybe the Board are hoping somebody will make a movie of their tenure. Should be a hit comedy.......if it wasn't so tragic.
On the good news front:
it has been reported that Peter Gow might come back to assist if the Club `falls over'. That's good. He should never have been axed in the first place. Peter described the club's handling of the Anderson situation as `very poor'. Bit of an understatement but otherwise right on the mark.

It's also been rumoured that a certain ex official is sitting back ready to "bankroll" any serious challenges to the current board..... ..... ..... ..... ..... ..... .....

McSharkie, hang on a sec...Gow is rumoured to support any serious challenge TO the current board. That means, if Gow thinks there is a team capable of doing the job, and he agrees in principle with the goals and ideals of that team, then he is prepared to get behind them with financial and possibly other (ie, profile) support.

Gow would not be doing anything to SUPPORT the current board mate, no way.

And, rumour has it that Gow is in the process of putting together such a team right now.

The only danger is that Rogers and Gow are not the best of mates, so if Rogers goes ahead with HIS challenge, there could be a three way battle to decide the make-up of our next board.

Yeah, I read Frenzy's post wrong. Any fight for power at board level is healthy. I say the more challengers the better.

I'm with you millers. A rumour mill as a sticky even. Then again how do you do it without legal issues these days?

It's pretty easy Foz, just leave out or have the mods delete any defamatory stuff.

Most rumours aren't defamatory themselves. It's when folk make statements of fact without knowing they are fact that cause trouble I reckon.

I think millers is onto this anyway!

Anyone care to have a stab at how much any court action will cost? Lets see a couple of QCs, several solicitors etc etc X by two to three weeks maybe longer.

Well said Popper. The hiatus with the Redevelopment is particularly concerning - if Gow was still around, it'd be practically complete by now and we'd be raking in the $$$ by the truckload.

Oh, and, I wholeheartedly agree with the original post - I'd love to see an Anderson challenge.
