Talking to a person in the media at a social function over the weekend (radio media). Told me Benji shoulders have so much strapping on them because they are still no good, that he cant throw a decent pass and is struggling to even get his arms up to tackle. This is why he is having trouble with the bombs and running up out of the line in defence. He said Sheens rushed him back due to the absolute failure of his no 7 plans and that Sheens see a broken Benji better than any other option, stills see his footwork as a danger to other teams. The media man played for a couple of sydney based team and lives in the shire. He said get your house on the sharks the tigers are shot and the future isnt good. He was not bagging us in fact he said the tigers were his second team.
He also went on to say the forwards just cant lay any platform, too small, too soft.
He didnt tell me anything their I didnt know, but interesting slant on Benji

I heard an interview this morning with Sheens on the BSB and TK asked him if had any concerns about where he's hiding Benji in defence and he said that he had concerns but that wasn't one of them...:?

That is bad news, and it is likely those who questions Sheens are onto something. Pity they tend to get a bit carried away with it though, eh?

Makes it all the more perplexing as to why he isn't defended at fullback, particularly when you could defend hodgo on the wing against smaller or slower wingers. If this is true (that SHeens has rushed him back) then my disdain for him will grow even further. We are talking about a 22 yo kid who has had 4 major shoulder injuries already and who has 10 years or so in front of him. Sheens is risking the kid's entire career because in essence he is the only one that can mask what a pig's ear of the halfback debacle that Sheens has made in signing Morris. I think we are all fearful that Benji is one more popped shoulder away from possibly having to give the game away unless he plays fullback. This season is gone and f**ked (thanks to T Sheens decision regarding the signing of the replacement for Prince), if Benji is that busted he shouldn't be playing as it is not doing anyone any good

Do you have a template you use for your posts?

Do you have any fresh ideas ever?

If this bloke works in the media and has the inside scoop then why hasn't he done his job and reported it. Seems odd to me.

You'd think we'd have heard about this in the media, seeing its straight from a "media man"

I think themanonthehill might be very close to who the media man is, he is rather big and anybody who knows him will tell you he is a good guy. He wasnt shooting bullets at anyone,he was trying to give an explanation for Benji's form. He is a Tim Sheen fan, although he dose think our squad is lacking the grunt that is required to compete with the big teams

one man's comments doesn't mean diddly squat

benji had a reco in early 2005 and our forwards were the smallest in the league

Oh, right, well that makes your story credible then. Thanks for clearing that up...

benji defending at fullback is risky too. we have seen his abilty or lack of defending kicks and also the other team could put thru little kicks and smash him as soon as he tounches the ball :x

No Kul he had a reco in mid 04 and popped it again in the first trial at nowra or wherever it was. Hence he missed Rd 1 v Parra. Try to deal in facts before you make yourself look a bigger ku9t than you already are

i stand corrected about the reco - he popped his shoulder
but it was in ulladulla - a coastal town, infact at a place called Mollymook Oval, not Nowra which is about 1 hour north and inland

Try to deal in facts
*waits for a stupid reply*

I'd rather back a man who's won 4 comps as a coach rather than a 'media man' who I assume is about 140kg's and works for a moron who plays ridiculous songs as a living.

Yep he's so astute he signed a Parramatta utility to play lock
So astute he has had to shift to of his big guns to accommodate said waste of space utility
Yep astute is the word that springs to my mind
f**king bell end
