Aaron Groom?

G'day Manly fans, I was just wondering if you guys had any info on Aaron Groom from your lower grades? Heard he had some talent, and a few NRL fans are dubbing him the next big thing.

Any info will be greatly appreciated

He's got talent. Still a way off first grade, but he shows enough signs to suggest he'll make it.

Would he find it tough cracking first grade though? I mean there Burns and Orford for the halves positions. They wont punt Orford with the money he's on, and Burns is starting to make a name of himself

burns only signed a one year deal and i honestly believe he will find himself off the bench this year as reserve hooker.

so i guess if groom pushes for 1st grade spot in 2008 it will be a toss up between burns, monaghan, dunley & groom as to who stays.

He wont play any firsts in 07 imo, maybe play a handful (10ish) in 08

But i think 09 will be his year which will the Orfords last, if Groom develops to what he could be maybe we;ll send Orford to the ESL a year early

I like the looks of this kid. He is a great halfback that IMO would go good in the centers or hooker if needed there. Manly should groom him into a top class halfback and give him some FG experience. This kid will go places!

Manly are pretty much covered in that position. Manly have been slowly rebuilding and biding there time over the last few years.

Manly has a few other promising players coming through the ranks. Ballin had his first 1st grade game last night. He played pretty well, scored a try and got a 40/20.

Hasler seems to really take his time putting promising youngsters into 1st grade. Lots of Manly Fans were expecting Ballin to have his first crack last year and even the year before that. Ballin will certainly be a player of the future. Groome will get his chance and he won't dissapoint.

I heard a similar thing from another site the other day. Thats fkn inept management by the Eagles, letting go of our best up and coming junior. If its true, which I'm pretty sure it is, not only has Manly let one get away, but as with Cameron Speechley, the Bulldogs will have two young gun halfbacks at their disposal next year.

Our only real prospect is off to the sharks for 200 k a year.

Better start picking someone cause by the looks of it we got him!
