steve, hope you get to see this game.
keep your eyes on a young bloke named maá nonu.
he will be replacing tana umuga at center and is a potential champion in the making.
rodney soi'alo (side of scrum) is another you may not be familiar with.

the canadian coach is realistic enough to say his team wont win but hopefully the canadian pride will make it an enjoyable match...

I've justy watched the first 30mins of this game and to tell you the truth, i was rather surprised buy the Canadians, Unfortunatley the Referee can't take the bloody whistle out of his mouth and it's stop start.

A penalty was given, play went 50m upfield then a knockon occured so the penalty went back to the original position :?: :?: :?:

Gee what a cracker of a game

Notice how Buddha cut the Kiwi fella off when he started giving the IRB a bit of stick and making some good suggestions??

Chris Handy makes me sick :-&

That game was really scrappy. It reminded me of AFL a bit, awful to watch, but hey it was in Melbourne so the crowd most likely enjoyed it.

I'm wondering though how much benefit the All Black's pool group is going to be for them. They will most likely beat Tonga and even Wales by 50+ points, and they will find themselves going into a crucial match against either England or South Africa having only faced inadequate sides. If it's South Africa they face they will be up against a side already steeled by an encounter with the world no. 1 team. If it's England then of course they will be facing the joint competition favourites. I'm gonna put my head on the chopping block now and predict the AB's to be rolled in the quarters.

That was a really poor game. I didnt expect it to be much, but the AB's were pretty disappointing which made it worse.
You make some good points, Weasel, people have been saying our pool will leave us underdone & that may well be the case.

I think the Referee stopped the match from gaining to much fluincy(spelling), it was as if he had to slow it down because of his own personal fitness or lack there of.

Was that realy a 2nd string Canada?

Our coach said it wasn't really a 2nd string side - he said he picked the better tacklers to play NZ. I missed the game, it was shown in the wee hours live and I forgot to tape it.
