It's funny but so many people rave on about all these different craft beers.
So many of them are absolutely f**king horrible.

I'm a craft beer guy, but you're not wrong. Some go way overboard in what they do.
I like that some places are trying new things though. Might not be for me, but there's someone out there who likes it I'm sure.

I tend to stick to Ales now. I used to like Lagers but I just found that Ales tend to have more flavour (some a little too much flavour though).

I also like that I can go around buying local beers wherever I go, and it's going to Australian companies.
Those big name brands are all owned by Japanese companies. Not that I have anything against Japanese companies, but I like to think I'm stimulating the Aussie economy somehow.

Coopers is the last 'big brand' Aussie beer company that's still independent and locally owned.

Love a fresh bread roll.
Even just with a bit of butter and they are so good.
We buy the six pack of Coles Bakery soft bread rolls, use what we need for the day then seperate the rest and freeze them in the bag be bought them in. They thaw out quite quickly on the plate at room temp and are virtually as fresh as when we bought them many days later.

My brother lives in northern California (near Sacramento) so we spend a lot of time there. He's in a great spot, not far from San Francisco, Lake Tahoe and Napa Valley. Been to all of those more than once.

I've seen NY, Philly and Washington DC. Also Hawaii.
Would love to see a lot more of that country, but been a bit hard. When I had the time I didn't have the funds, then when I had the funds I didn't have the time.
Mrs Eelo and I did a trip the the US in 2019, got back to OZ about a month before Covid hit. We enjoyed every minute of the trip, great memories for us both. I won a trip to Hawaii back in 1993 which also included the mrs. No complaints from either trip except for the f**king tipping culture there.

Yeah the whole tipping thing is weird.
I'm always throwing money away, tipping too much because I don't want to look like a deadbeat.

It's also annoying that they don't have the actual prices marked in shops. They don't factor in all the taxes until they put it through the register. Sometimes you end up paying quite a bit more than you think you were going to.
