Former Newcastle Knights player Brett Grogan was barred from the Sydney Junction Hotel in Newcastle, north of Australia's biggest city, with a security doorman telling them "your kind aren't allowed in", the Sunday Telegraph reported.

I had the same happen to me, after a Knight's home game.

No-neck: "Sorry mate...your kind aren't allowed in"
Me: "Whadda ya talking 'bout"
No-neck: "No bikie colours, no footy jumpers"
Me: "Why thankyou kind sir, I have obviously made a mistake, & this is not the kind of establishment that i would want to frequent"
No-neck: "Grunt!"
