Adam Dykes' Injury

Anyone heard any news on how he's doing? Hope it's nothing too serious.

the way he hit the ground when the bronco landed on him looked very awkward. freeman was saying that it might be a shoulder injury but id say its most definately a sternum injury, a rib injury or a back injury. i hope its not serious too because we missed him when he left big time!

apparantly 2 broken ribs and could be out for the season just when we were starting to look good.

dykes was playing well and if he was on the feild im sure we would have won

I don't think Dykes would have won us the game, what would have won us the game was taking out Lockyer early with a stiff upper cut

we were let down by morris kicks if dykes was there the kicking game would have been better and im sure we would have faired better as a result

We lost because of three reasons:

1. Dykes was gone...we had 4 forwards on the bench and a forward in the halves...left us with only Morris as a kicking option..he's good but wont win u a game.

2. Lockyer was brilliant...his bombs would have troubled any fullback so no-one should say anything bout McKinnon dropping em.

3. Jason Robinson couldnt keep 10m if his life depended on it. They were offside all night...but im sure the message from NRL HQ was "dont penalise Brisbane forwards for not being back the 10 cos they will be tired from origin and we shouldnt disadvantage them" never mind that Hindmarsh was back every time and outplayed every forward out there!! And they scored off a blatant forward pass.

Anyways, we can take a lot from the loss, it wasn't embarrassing and we didnt play bad, we just came up against a better team.
We'll go well next week when Witts back, but it seems we're doomed never to have Witt and Dykes playing together for more than one round...

Freeman was at his idiotic best after Brisbane scored off the forward pass. Both Pearce and him wouldn't have a brain between them. Why Fox Sports employs the fools I don't know.

He will be sorely missed. He may not be that great a halfback but believe me he's the best we've got at the club at the moment. Anyone who thinks Thorman is the answer think again. He had a shocker tonight in Prem's and he's just far too inconsistent for first grade. Sadly that might have been his last game in the blue and gold for us...
