Admission for a new team?

Ok, I'm a newbie but I'd like to submit a team for the forum 7s.

What do I need to do?

Team name: Singapore Merlions (It's time to bring an international flavour to the forum 7s 8) )

Home Ground: Merlions Stadium

Capacity: 100,000

Major Sponsor: Singapore Airlines

Sleeve sponsor: Daewoo

We need players, so if you don't have a team and you want to be part of a new team to take on the heavyweights, reply to this post

Well what you do is start a thread with the team name in the title (in the teams section), then start recruiting.

In January, we'll be reviewing how all the teams are going, discussing it, and then offering invitations to the 2004 season.

If you look like you have the makings of a well organised outfit, then you'll be part of the competition.

There is talk of a Knights team for 2004 - is this a feasible option if the numbers are there or is it true you're looking to fill existing sides prior to allowing new sides (or returning sides) into the competition?

As willow said in the previous post, we're looking at reviewing all at the end of Jan. There are still teams without 13 players but you're more than entitled to put up a thread which we'll sticky and name the interested parties, captain etc. Organising a trial would be a good option too.

Paj8, the team list and draw are complete for 2004. You can join any other team which has a 'sticky' symbol in this thread... and I know a few are still looking at filling their playing roster.

As was said earlier Paj8, you can but it won't be playing in this years official sevens competition as all teams have been issued invitations already.
