I hope your bloody joking. At this rate Brett Seymour will be 30 by the time he gets the number 7 on his back fighting past the tired and incompetent halfbacks at the club.

I haven't heard anything, and I doubt we'd go for Lam (just watch Bennett prove me wrong  ).

I'm pretty sure Bennett blames Adrian Lam for the disaster of 2000 in the State of Origin Series for Queensland. I'm sure I read a quote along those lines from Bennett around Origin time this year. Thats why I'd be just a little bit cautious of this rumor.

Every player is rumoured to be about to sign with the Broncos.

It gets abit boring after a while.

The next rumour will be is that we are about to re-sign Sam Backo & Greg Dowling.

The Rumour now is that Lazzo is about to sign.

He is fit as a fiddle, he hasn't put on any extra weight since he retired.

I doubt very much that lam will go to the broncos. I'd be guessing, but I'd say he'd be around 30 now. I can't see why they would want him and let prince go.

I dont understand why brisbane havent had a #6 or 7 the whole year. To me this is why we screwed up so much. Ikin cant run, pass, kick, chase etc.
And berrigan is a friekin hooker for cryin out loud. everytime he gets the ball he tries to slip through the defence

I heard that rumour on the big sports Breaky a week or so ago, i think it will come to the fore as Wigan were he currently plays has one of the best young half back prospects the British game has seen in decades.

His name is Luke Robinson remeber that name.

Berrigan looked lost all year at 5/8, he isn't the man for that job.

Would Lockyer be a possibility of playing there next season, I've heard that he's not much of a fan of that position, but If he played there, then not only the Broncos, but QLD and Australia would have undoubtedly the best 5/8 in the world. And this coming from a non Brisbane supporter.

I couldn't believe Bennett let Prince go. I think the man may be getting on a bit-Time to start blooding a new coach I think fellas. :)

Madunit, Berrigan played at halfback this year. I actually think he could be a very lethal running 5/8. We know he hasn't got the passing game or the playmaking skills to ever be a halfback. The ideal combination for the future is Seymour at halfback and Berrigan at 5/8.

Lockyer IMO isn't an option at 5/8. I'm quite frankly sick of talk about him moving to the position. I used to hold the opinion that he should be playing there until I saw him play 40 minutes at 5/8 against the Sharks in 2001. Bennett moved him back to fullback at half time and has never thought of playing him there again. The simple fact is that Lockyer isn't conditioned to play in that position, he can be but that takes time which will be wasted considering we still do have plenty of options in the playmaking roles, its just all about making the right choices, something that you wonder if Bennett is capable of.

oops on the Berrigan at 5/8 thing.

I heard or read somewhere that Lockyer never liked the idea of playing at 5/8. Realistically it's not his style of play, he's a dangerous runner on the fringe of the ruck. Five-eighth nowadays does very little. He is much more effective at fullback. But if he was at five-eighth, he could still be just as good as he is now, that's why I reckon he could be the best 5/8 in the world if we went there.

Agree with ya totally though. I like going around in circles and getting nowhere-kinda like Mick Hancock

Once again it was mentioned yesterday in one of our papers that the Broncos are looking to sign a quality player currently in the UK.

The player in question is Brett Dallas, who is 27 years old.

Now that Prince is gone, definitely Seymour.

Personally, I'd play Berrigan in the centres. He just isn't creative enough to play in the halves. Put him at centre so he doesn't have to worry about creating plays (not that he does anyway), and watch him become a fixture in the Australian side within 12 months.
