For the millions out there who have desperately waiting on the results of the main 2014 Grand Finals from across the Affiliated States – Await no more !!!

Ø In the Northern Territory / Darwin decider it was Brothers defeating Nightcliff to the tune of 28 – 16

Ø In Victoria’s Melbourne match up it was a red hot Sunbury outclassed Casey 48 to 16

Ø In WA’s Perth playoff – South Perth Lions outlasted the fast finishing Fremantle to take the game 28 – 26 and finally;


Ø In SA’s Adelaide end to the season the Roosters Blue and Henley Raiders extended their rivalry with an extra time cliff hanger where the Roosters finally kicked away to win 30 points to 18 !

And in good news for the code in the land of the Crow eaters !

The SARL’s 2014 Sports Centre Cup Division 1 Grand Final is on SBS’s free-to-air National Indigenous Television Network (NITV – Ch. 34). The broadcast will include the Division 1 Grand Final full-game with live commentary, and a half-time show that will feature a Recap & Highlights reel of the Division 2 Grand Final.

Entertaining game. Gave me something to watch on a Tuesday night. If it were possible to get one of those West End Steeden's I'd have one in a heartbeat.

It was an entertaining match with some talented players (the half-back for the Raiders is one to keep an eye on and their Pommy hooker was solid). The entire program was also very well-produced - camera work was excellent and the on-camera presenters were both quite professional.

Perhaps the SARL can share with the other Affiliated States how to work towards this themselves?

Perhaps the NRL could do an end of season Affiliated States GF package for showing on something like FOX Sports 3 / GEM.
