The AFL needs to make sure ANZ is not used for other events before AFL games. If they won't do it then stick to the SCG.

AFL Players' Associationquestions the league over ANZ Stadium's slippery surface

THE AFL Players' Association has questioned the suitability of ANZ Stadium as an AFL venue following complaints over the standard of the surface in Saturday night's semi-final.
The AFLPA said it would take its concerns over the quality of the ground to the AFL this week after Carlton and Sydney players complained about the surface.
The Sydney-Carlton semi-final was marred by a number of players losing their footing on the slippery surface.
The venue had hosted an NRL final just 24 hours earlier, which involved rolling out seating closer to the rectangular field and rolling it back to accommodate the AFL oval.
The condition of the ground drew criticism from commentators, with Channel Sevens Cameron Ling saying the surface wasnt "steady to walk on".
AFLPA general manager of player relations Ian Prendergast said the players were concenced about the slippery surface and the unevenness of the playing field.
"Player representatives from both Carlton and Sydney have raised concerns about the playing surface at ANZ Stadium," Prendergast said.
"The issues relate to the slipperiness and unevenness of the surface, causing players to question the suitability of the venue, especially for such an important final, if the problems arent rectified in the future.
"We will take these issues up with the AFL this week. In particular, the difficulties in suitably preparing the playing surface following an NRL game the night before.
"Its disappointing for both players and fans that we continue to have serious issues with this venue despite concerns raised previously."
AFL spokesman Patrick Keane said yesterday the league had not received any complaints about the condition of the ground from either club and the league had no concerns about future games being staged at the venue following a rugby league match.
"Dew was the issue," Keane said.
