AFL tipping contest

Anyone up for an AFL tipping contest.

Or would we not get the numbers here.

We just need some one to post the games/venues by about Wednesday each week, and the rest is easy.

I'd be up for it, but -- at this point -- we could only really rely on having Meltiger, Cupid Stunt, myself and yourself, although traffic on this forum does tend to pick-up when the season starts.

I'll be starting a fresh thread for each round of the AFL season and people's tips could just be placed in these, amidf general discussion of the rounds.

If we get a sufficient core group of people tipping each round we could sticky a thread devoted to the issue.

Did you want me to PM some of the other users who have frequented this forum and put the challenge to them? From a moderator perspective, the friendly competitive aspect of a tipping competition is a good way to ensure deeper accessing of the forum.

Should we be thinking about fallback scoring for those who may miss putting their tips in for any given week?

You could get given the lowest score for the round you missed? Lowest score -1?

yep, lowest score is good

some comps give the average, but if there are a lot of upsets, you can actually do well by not voting
