I know this isnt gunna happen but hypothetically what countries would you consider to be in this and would you accept them into our comp?

south africa
new zealand
ireland
england

it would be a pretty one sided series

Definately have the US in there even if they were flogged each match, they love the game over there and maybe add Canada to that list!

they have already had 2 AFL International cups held here in melbourne, the last being in either '06 or '05

Was it. Groups of expats from all of those countries?

no...there are leagues in lots of countries which probably have 60-70% expats and the rest locals learning the game, but the AFL international cup was international players only (no expats)

it was quite interesting as the japan team was full of smaller running players while nz had lots a bigger guys...one guy from japan impressed so much that he got a try-out with essendon

apparently AFL is catching on in South Africa quite well, the AFL have been sending indiginous youth teams to sth africa to play against sth african youth teams, which have provided very competitive games

last year or the year before stkilda did a training camp in sth africa and they were shocked at how many people played afl there
