After round 9, are we back?

Our origin run isnt that bad really, if we win this week into the bye i think it will look a lot more positive in terms of making 8. Cows are in 9th 4 points ahead of us, we win then we go into the group just outside the 8 by 1 or 2 wins and not many of those teams are very good, with Bye the week after we will be right in the mix. Right now we just want top 6 teams to beat teams beneath them until we hit the 8. Our points diff is better than all the other bottom 9 teams besides the dolphins as well.

I think we get 1 of the dogs games atleast there is Top 8

Yeah our defence was poor but we were scoring tries as well, that helps

There's really no excuse if we don't make it even from 2-6. We have a pretty soft run through the middle of the year which should help get the side back into a rhythm from here and get the confidence/connection up for the tougher games at the back end.

Sides 8-17: Cows, Knights (Origin players out), Eels (post Origin), Tigers, Eels (post Origin), Rabbits, Tigers, Titans, Knights, Dragons
Sides 1-4: Warriors (post Origin), Dogs, Storm, Raiders, Dogs

If we won 8/10 of the soft games and 2/5 of the tougher games we'd finish on 13 wins. Certainly good enough for 7th or so. Pick up a couple more and you're probably 5th going on previous seasons but 4th tends to take 16 wins so that'll require some run (13/15). Yesterday's performance would do it though so who knows. I'm tipping 13-14 wins and 6th-7th. God help the side that is chuffed with themselves for slogging to 6th and comes up against finals Cleary riding a hot team.

Unlike most years everyone is inconsistent and taking points off each other which will help if they can go on a run. Don't need to reach raiders/dogs juat top 8 or 4.

The only game you're missing players is against the Knights who will also be missing Ponga. The next two origins you have the BYE.

It's Ivan's choice to back up players or not.

I'd probably tank the away game to NZ and not bother backing up guys.
The other two games are against Parra. Probably can rest 2 or 3 guys. Perhaps keep Nathan on bench and see how game goes but very winnable even if rest a few.
