For those that dont know...

Ahman Green was drafted by the seahawks to back up Shaun Alexander, the seahawks eventually traded him away to the pack..

So here is the question, If you knew how domminating both these backs were would you trade either green or alexander?

also who do you think got the better of the deal, the pack or the seahawks?

There are all sorts of situations like this, such as the Michael Vick trade that kept raising its head last year.

Dont be surprised if it happens again with one of the Vikings 4 running backs getting traded and being a star.

To answer your question, yes I would trade because thats the beauty of having 2 good players at one position, it helps you strengthen your weaknesses by trading.

I think Seattle made the right choice, Alexander suits there stlye of play. Having said that Ahman is probably the more talented player (if injuries are ignored)

speaking of the vikings, whats the rookie who started a few games earlier this season? he wore number 30...every game i saw him in he just made a mockery of the defense.

I agree about what how there heaps of similarities for example the falcons trading favre :p

Thats a hard one for mine. I think Green is more devastating through the middle but Alexander has a bigger motor.

Davenport is just waiting to explode though. Give him to a team where he can be the feature & I think he'll kill it.

That couldn't be the case mate, as Ahman was drafted by the 'Hawks one year before Alexander was.

Davenport is an animal of a running back..but he doesnt have enough stamina, also for a west coast team running a power back lol isnt normal, but wasnt miami interested in him at one stage when ricky left?

oh well he wasnt supposed to be the starting back at the seahawks, he was supposed to be a back up at the most as the wrap in college was he fumbled way too much and never switched hands while carrying the ball (which is still true)...either way when they got alexander ahman was gonna be a back up.

Yeh the #30 is Mewelde Moore, absolutely brilliant rookie running back, but its hard to tell what is his skill and what is the brilliant Vikings O-Line. Mewelde's best talent is that he is a great receiver for a back.

If he didnt get injured I dare say he'd be #2 on the depth chart ahead of Michael Bennett at the moment. Id actually much rather see Mewelde play ahead of Onterrio who I actually think is a bit over-rated, I dont think its in the Vikers best interest to keep him getting a majority of touches.
