How can someone who is supposedly on stress leave be considered for a role leading our club’s Mental Health Team? I understand the need for these roles in the modern game, but are we only hiring him because he’s got the club over a barrel with a contract that runs until the end of 2026?

he's also an RLPA Rep...

we're definitely not dealing with a dumb merkin here, he knows what he's doing and is fishing it for what it's worth.

he'll definitely look pretty at the end of it.

Interesting after Bailey is gone we only have Sean Russell left at our club who is managed by the Orr brothers, most clubs only have about 4/5 players and only haas is there best client , I think someone at the club has fallen out with the Gold Coast pacific management, on a side note they don't have anyone we'd really want bar maybe khan - pereira

Which two former NRL stars are returning to Australia after being unimpressed with the standard of England’s Super League? One is actually British.
*****
Parramatta legend Mick Cronin was inundated by British and Irish Lions rugby union fans who attended an Eels game day function last week.
The Welsh fans had never been to an NRL match and hadn’t heard of Cronin until his legendary status was pointed out.
Moments later, the Brits, after scouring Wikipedia, surrounded Cronin and were asking questions, grabbing autographs and taking selfies.

Just reposting my post from the Dyl thread:

Well, if we are giving out NRL experience to guys in the future and the future is now, then Samrani's pick is justified.

He is our Marata - half edge, half centre and obviously Ryles sees something in him or he is a gr8 trainer so have to give him experience NOW.

Say come next year, we haven't picked up a centre and Bailey has left and Will or Russell get's suspended, Samrani will fill the centre role.

So it's March 2026 but NOW.

Or do you prefer Lomax at centre and Tago or Dunster on the wing?

And we were offered Sandon Smith, another one of their clients and allegedly turned them down.

I think he probably makes a good mental health advocate.
The problem is that probably doesn’t help rugba leeg players be at their best. They’re more effective when they believe they’re invincible. They don’t need some ex player telling them how they got a year’s paid leave because they had an original thought in the off season.

2 of our recent QLD recruits are managed by Orr, Hudson and O'Connor
