Foran's deal was reported at $1.4 mil. Now that is ridiculous. 500k for Sezer is fine...great in fact when you take into account the Canberra and Sticky factor. Canberra usually have to pay a lot more but I don't think anyone else would get him for much less than that. Halves can pretty much ask for whatever they want in the current market.

In a $7 million cap, if all 25 players got the same amount, they'd get $280k. Factor in that a fair few would be on or close to the minimum wage, and $500k is not a huge amount to pay anyone, especially a half with the potential that Sezer has.

Yeah, if this deal had of come in at 800k i wouldnt have batted an eyelid give the Canberra Tax. As i said, 500k a year is a f**king steal for Sezer IMO

500k for Sezer is an absolute steal. He might not be a superstar but he's a very decent half (hard enough to find as it is) who's willing to leave the Gold Coast to live in f**king Canberra and be coached by a baked potato who may well ruin his career.

Could do. Id be lying if i said i wasnt worried about it. But they have just spent 1.4 mil a year on DCE, so im not sure they want to come in and have another 500k+ to trump our offer

plus they play essentially the same position, Sezer is the halfback for the Titans

If people are allowed to jump on the Cartwright bandwagon saying he's a shit coach because he had to work with too many part timers we're allowed to jump on Sezer for being one
