AJ will not break try record

I think whats being forgotten is that pace is only one reason AJ scores so many. It's as much about positional play and timing which are still as strong as ever for AJ. Will be awesome when it's his name at the top of the list.

Very much this. Hopefully the naysayers in this thread will man up and admit they were wrong and congratulate the new try-scoring King.
There is caveat and it is other players do the sympathy on him. Pass it to him after big break and up 20 points etc. If it is all fair he wont but if they give him leg up he might. His body and pace is breaking but.

I don't believe there are any provisos that say a try only counts towards the record if you run a certain distance or beat a certain amount of defenders. If you ground the ball in your opponents in-goal then you get credited with a try regardless of how you got there. As to him losing some of his pace, I've already pointed out that timing and positional play are just as important and both those things are still strong in AJs game. All I know is I'm cheering for him to do it. He's a champion bloke and would be well worthy of holding first place.
