I've been more impressed with Uate over the last couple of weeks. His style of play seems to be more like it used to be and I think some of the reason for this is that he has lost some body fat. His step and swerve are coming back. The Uate I've become used to over the last 12 months, is the one that tries to run over players. He's got great footwork, its great to see it making a comeback.

His efforts under the high ball have improved also

Now if only we could fix his awareness and decision making in defence

Anyone know anything about his ankle? He lookedreally tender the last 20 at the ground. My mate and I were amazed that Canberra didn't target him as he looked shot

Exactly, he's a bad enough defender even without a shot ankle

Aku has improved. The issue i have is by now all of his short comings should be well and truly behind him. His power should be why noone runs near him. He literally should bash his opposing winger.

I'm kinda eager to see us play Parra and have Aku go up against Radradra. Hoping that Aku tries to prove a point and has a blinder.

Aku just doesn't have that competitive edge any more it feels like. Before he used to love returning the ball and would thrive on trying to break the line.

When was his last clean solo clean break? :( I liked when they were a weekly occurrence.

He does seem slimmer, good to see.

We've got a pretty gun backline. All of the back five are superstars on their day.

He did one against the Sharks or Cowboys from memory. Was def this year

Today on Triple M when Sterlo was asked who is the best winger in the game he nominated Morris and then mentioned Uate. He's still a machine on his day.

My big problem is he really hasn't improved his weaknesses and his strengths have declined considerably, my heart stops every time the opposition attack his side of the field

The worst thing you could say about Uate is that he is now expendable. Which is a shame.

I disagree with Yosh, he doesn't look slimmer to me.

I want him so bad to return to the kind of form that got him to origin. But I don't know what it's going to take. I just think he's lost his edge, eye of the tiger if you will.
