Kelly,

Kelly,

Yes but not yet he is only 17 or 18, has one of the best all round games I've seen for a kid. Can run, pass, kick, tackle and sets play up. I have seen him play half, 5/8 and fullback but is a natural 5/8. Only thing I am not sure about is inside his head. I hope he is a down to earth kid who loves footy.

Halves don't hit their peek till about 25-26, but i relay thought he was 16 or so still.

He has the biggest raps of hany halfback/5-8 since an anaster hit the stage. At kellys age timmy was behind the witt brothers, Dykes etc. Timmy was never relay talked about playing first grade, but he did have potential...

It was obvious that timmy has the skills to play first grade, but we have all learnt it can take a turn for the worst so quickly. Timmy was always down to earth and loved parramatta. Timmy had everything in his favour to be sucessful but the Media attention relay sent him into a downwards spiral. I think talking about Kelly in first grade now is premiture... give these halves time to develop.

Pearce had massive wraps on him but was brought in at 17 and took him 3 years to learn his trade in the top grade. Keating is 19 and just starting, lets just take it one step at a time.

I have doubts as to whether Kelly will stay with us. From what i recall in recent interviews his uncle was behind him coming to us and that was purely because of our great junior setup. They pretty much straight out said that his future would be decided by who pays the most which we are not well known for

I've watched both Kelly and Mortimer this year and at this stage I rate Mortimer higher

Wow, these questions just keep getting more ridiculous. A 17 year old compared to someone who has played 3 1/2 years of 1st grade and lead his team to within one game of the grand final twice. I haven't seen Albert Kelly play and iwish him all the best, but this is crazy!

Who has more potential? Probably Kelly
Who will be a better player? Probably Kelly
Can Kelly solve the eels ongoing halves problem? revisit this thread in about 2 years

as i said before Kelly shouldn't even be thought about considering he hasn't even had a run in Jersey Flegg.

Very true, and what i cant work out is how half the people on this forum post about him but haven't even seen him play. He's reputation is that great that he's a shoe in for the FG side even at this early stage.
