Seems fair enough to me. McCracken won his case so can't see how McKinnon won't win this.
Not sur on the grounds of the NRL suit, but I imagine that would largely be so that they, the billion dollar organisation, can cover the majority of the costs instead of Mclean. Or possibly the "job for life" offer turned out to just be baseless fluff (or taken away after Smith got the punt)
Not sure why anyone would be "disappointed" in McKinnon. He got a million bucks. That will cover the house and about 5 years of care. There's another 50 years to think about after that.
I'm also not sure why people would feel sorry for McLean. I don't know how anyone can argue he didn't lift McKinnon into a dangerous position by placeing s hand between the legs. He doesn't do that, and it doesn't happen. He can bleat about not meaning to hurt him all he likes, but if you make a small f**k up on the road and wind up killing someone, you don't get off by saying you Didn't have any malice in your actions. He'all also have some sort of insurance you would think to cover for this anyway (RLPA hasn't demanded this since the McCracken case, They are fools)
