The funny thing is in the 90's and 00's Panthers were my favourite Sydney team, but the smugness of the current team and fans over the past few years is just too much
Hopefully, you'll come back "home". You won't be disappointed if you do.

I fear that if the Cowboys win it will be a repeat of their last GF appearance in 2017- they played their GF a week early and will get run over in a lop-sided and instantly forgettable decider.

If the Cows make it, isn't that the greatest rags to riches story of the NRL era?

13th, 14th, 14th, 15th in the last 4 seasons, tipped for the spoon by many this year, new coach, were 2-3 early on and lost to the Warriors at home....I mean it's just insane to where they've got to.

If the Cows and Panthers make the GF, the Tasman Sea will rise to unforeseen levels with the amount of tears shed over two Warriors ex-coaches squaring off in a decider.

I’ll be going for whoever wins Friday night.

I’m 50/50 with Parra though. I have nothing against the club, they’ve got a loyal fan base and play a good brand of football. But I do get some cruel pleasure watching them bottle it every year.

One of the great turn arounds. Looked utterly hopeless and their recruitment appeared terrible for 2022.

No one in the world was thinking a Dearden/Townsend combo was capable of a top 8 finish let alone a prelim. Paintman had other ideas. Coach of the year by a mile.
Cows lost 7 games this season. In the past 3 seasons, Panthers have lost 10 matches. Cleary is obvious coach of the year, but media talk tends to sway lazy judges thinking.

Cowboys are def THE story of the year. Every one expected the other three to be there or there abouts.
all aboard the underdogs wagon! Go cowboys.
Underdogs of the season, no doubt. Hope they don't get stage fright and get the over achievers tag, as some will say if they lose.

Will they be easily in the top 4 next year, or back down to the cellar? That is where the big test will be.

2017 Cowboys were heavily decimated by injuries. They also had to win three games in a row in Sydney just to make the GF. Lost their prop to a nasty compound fracture early in the GF.

Nah I just give it to the over-performing outfit every time. Cows have gone from spoon contenders to a prelim, potentially a grand final. Granted sustained success is impressive but I can't look past the Cowboys turnaround.

From the last 4...

1 - Souths (My wife follows Souths. Happy wife = happy me)

2/3 Parra/Cowboys - honestly can't separate them. Both would be fairytales in their own way (a massive drought broken or the ultimate rags-to-riches story)

4 - Penrith, by a long way.
