There’s still a lot to be sorted out but godamn I was impressed especially by Gibbes, he was brilliant.
England proved they are a one man team as evident by tonight’s match

WOOOO!!! 36-3! HA!

Very happy with that game. Especially considering the AB's are historically 'rusty' first up.

Yeah pretty hard to believe that someone's good enough to shut Jerry Collins out of the #6 jersey but Gibbes was all class. One thing for sure Rueben Thorne's gotta be history.

That was a great All Black performance. Our pack was outstanding, especially Gibbes, McCaw and Rush. Hayman and Robertson had big games as well.

Carlos did well. Umaga had one of his best games in a black jersey for a long time. Our back three were on song as well.

They are certainly missing Johnston, Back, Robinson and Wilko. But that's football.

Now, if we can just win next week

I was forced to catch the game on 3 last night, as I was at a 21st until about 9. I'm not a huge fan of Hamish McKay, but I thought that his constant reference to Gibbes as 'Mr Visible' was a pretty cheap shot at Reuben Thorne, a bloke who always did his best for the country, and was a very successful All Black captain.

Yeah that was cheap. I'm not a Thorne hater, he's an effective enough player, however the fact that he's a quiet acheiver worked against him as a captain. We've certainly got an embarrasment of back-row riches right now, McCaw, Holah, Gibbes, Collins, Thorne, Tua'ai (sp?), Rush are all world class.

How good was it to have a strong lineout again? Wonder if the poms were expecting Gibbs to have the kind of impact he did at the back. They'll be well aware of it next time. Should be a much tougher match.

Although Gibbes was good I still think they need to find a spot in there somewhere for JC. When they face a proper test they'll need the mongrel he provides, he is probably the most intimidating player in world rugby, that hit he put on Chris Jack in the super 12 was brutal.

I agree on the merits of Jerry Collins, but I am comfortable with him on the bench at the moment. Gibbes can revert to lock easily, so its either Robertson, Rush or Collins. I'm happy to have Collins as an impact player at the moment

Second test

Evans for Howlett (injured). Mehrts on to the bench

Holah might start at 7, with Newby on bench for McCaw (injured).
