Sorry Stagger, Joe Grima is a Pendle Hill boy who wen to Newman Hogh, played for them and Hills District, Played Matts, Ball and Flegg.

Been through the whole coaching experience from Matts, Ball and to Asst to Matt Cameron at NYC, then asked Hagan what his plans were, and received the now expected ummm, aahhhh , eeerrrrr, I don't really know what is going on... so he got offered the job at the Sharks and left his beloved Eels, thanks again Michael

lol...we're going to have to settle this the hard way

he may well have come here at a young age but I'm pretty sure he resided in Griffith at an early age..

stand by for a confirmation ;-)

just to correct you on one thing, Joey is a Griffith boy who came here at an early age to play reps for the club.

argueably one of the most respected junior coachs in the game and was personaly recruited by Ricky Stuart to take over the sharks this year.
You may be right stagger - i just mentioned that because i went to same school as him - and since i went to school in local area...

Joe would be 36 this year, lives in Kings Langley and is a terrific coach, on reflection we can really appreciate what a major c**k up the appointment of Hagan ended up for us.

The Newie people who came on and said we would regret it etc, never a truer word, DF should look at that move being the final straw for the fans and probably the rebels

ok here's the deal..

I was kinda half wrong...

Delboy, Joey came to Sydney from Tamworth in 1987 and played Matts with your boy in 1988.

I hope that sort of clears it up...

thanks Stagger, I have known Joe since then , and always thought he was a local boy, knew his family were original from the bush but as he always lived at Pendle Hill just took it for granted.

Still doesn't alter the fact he should not be anywhere but at our club, I haven't found anyone who wishes him anything but good fortune, top bloke.

absolutely, he should be DA's assistant, it's an absolute tragedy that he was allowed to leave.

Another master stroke by the supercoach, he had no plan other than to return to Newcastle, and then he left Daisy here.

I realise that it is good to go outside your own boundaries for coaches etc, however there should always be a succession plan in every business , something we have failed to do innthe last 3-4 years
