Hypothetically, if we were afforded an opportunity for a frank, honest Q&A with 3 or 4 of the wise men in control at camp concord, at a venue like Balmain leagues, wests ashfield etc who would be keen on attending. It would be the opportunity to ask some frank, cutting, objective questions to those in power over a range of issues, among them:
1. Price of memberships/season tickets
2. Performance of head coach
3. Performance of assistant coach
4. Recruitment manager's performance/perceived (or otherwise) nepotism
5. The gypsy like nature of home games and potential effect on team performance - and also if the giving away of home ground advantage to collect money short term that could cost us long term because we miss the finals
6. Training methods - the hamstrings are not coincidence
7. The farah situation where (as CT has alluded) it has been known of for 3 yrs and not `managed'
8. The John Morris situation - if last night didn't drum it into us what we are missing then nothing will. He is a square peg in a round hole

These are off the top of my head and my idea would be for us to provide an agenda (not with proposed questions as i don't want prepared answers) but in the form of `right issue 1 - home grounds - floor open ask away'

This is a chance to ask some very hard questions and maybe see where we are going (it appears further backwards at the moment).

Just a yay or nay in the replies would be good and also I guess see which nights are good for most people.

Keep the sh*t and garbage out of this thread - just yay/nay - mon, thur or fri are good type replies

Who knows we might even get an open bar ?

And do not let tomorrow's game influence the decision. A win will merely be papering over cracks imo

Defence and management/front office structure would be something I would be keen to discuss. Especially the second part as it has been a concern I have been expressing since 2004

Coaching and Sheens is not of a massive concern to mebut we can talk about that in a different thread as no need to get into that chestnut in here

Im assuming you're talking about Prince?

I hate watching Prince and Boof running around for those merkins... If we still had them we'd be top 4 material.

Recruitment, Retention, Retrenchment, Extensions, Upgrades, all areas. Re-signing Scott Prince for an extension should have been the priority target by early to mid 05, at the latest. THE priority, bar none.

Laffranchi as well, especially when it was fairly obvious Skando's career was almost over.

Top 4?

mate imo we would have been ahead of daylight last year and only behind melbourne if we still had prince and laffranchi last year.

Prince went to the GC, yes. Eventually. Not stating that Prince would necessarily have re-signed (though we'll never know, for sure). But he, and by extension, the #7 should have been the priority, and earlier. It just seemed that WT had their minds... elsewhere... at the time. It was not a guarantee that he would stay, beyond 06. For this reason alone, it was worth paying the situation special attention, and not waiting until the value and demand skyrocketed, to either settle with him, or obtain a good replacement, at a time of a drought in Halfbacks. In just one example- Pearce signed with Easts, in Sept 05. The 2 main reasons for WT either failing to secure him, or not even offering, IIRC, were

1) Coach.
2) Didn't want to get "stuck" behind Prince.

That's pretty late in the day, to be still mucking around, when Pearce was only signed on $80K. Either Pearce never wanted to come to WT, under any condition (coach), or WT was dicking around, and placing too much faith in Prince staying. Am not putting this across as "gospel". But there seemed to be more of a blase, "she'll be right" approach, than what could be afforded.

I'd be interested in coming along.

I'm not as fussed by on field issues as you guys. But I would be interested in hearing plans for the future in terms of increasing commercial viability and success which in turn relates to increasing the fan base.

I would just like to know what exactly Sheen's is trying to achieve with the current team, perhaps it would hold some insight into some of the decisions he makes and why he persists with some of those particular decisions that puzzle us all.

Why do people think we whore out games for the fun of it?
Noyce hates not playing at our traditional home grounds but the fact of the matter is- Campbelltown Stadium and Leichhardt Oval are both unprofitable sh*t holes. We'd be broke with a 6/6 split. Why is that so hard to understand?

Re Sheens- I lost faith in Sheens at the beginning of 05. I was stunned when he said he was disappointed we had lost so much 'experience'. Then to see him continually select mongs like Fitzy and Moodie, questions need to be asked. I have no problem with his game plans and set plays but he clearly can not tell the difference between a good player and a sh*t one which is very disturbing
