My god that dunk contest was depressing, the most boring i have ever seen. Brown was a big let down and overall it was crap, i wish they could get some real dunkers in there screw the NBA players, get And 1 Dunkers and others in there.

Depressing is a good way of describing it. My expectations were pretty low going in but apparently not low enough.

For me it's either Lebron or nothing from now on.

I don't think Wallace could have mailed it in any harder if he tried. At least the other guys seemed to put some effort in. They just weren't good enough.

The only ray of light was DeRozan's windmill dunk after Weems passed it off the side of the backboard. Nice dunk.

Random question. Does anyone else think that DeMar DeRozan somewhat resembles a velociraptor?

Wade gets MVP.

3 and a half quarters of mediocrity but the last 5 minutes or so were fun to watch.

Record attendance of 108 713.

I didnt mind the all star game, were some nice plays in there and the last 5mins of the 4th were good to watch as you could see both sides wanted to win, the crowd looked bloody awesome, 108 000 people that is just ridiculous.

Yeah how good is that stadium, gee is was awesome, would of been good to be there. It was a good game to, good to see the East Win.

The dunk contest was as boring as bat sh#t, it was the worst ive seen, cant believe LeBron sooked out, Nate Robinson is boring after 3 yrs, pls no more of him. Even a 32 yr old Vince Carter would of been better than what sh#t they put up, Gerald Wallace didnt looked like he wanted to be there wtf, at least have a go ya mug.

Shakira certainly looked the goods didnt she ;-)

Does anyone think there will be any big trades this week, i see Dallas traded Josh Howard for Carron Butler, plus there was a few others involved there aswell.

I did hear today the guys talking about Cleveland may do a big trade for Amare Stoudamire, if they get him, im sure LeBron will stay at the Cavs for sure, and they will win this yr.

Amarie to Cleveland would be insane and yes, if it does happen, you can almost book in Cleveland for the title. Would be fun to see what Lebron could do with a dominant big.

I think the Suns are holding out to see if they can get Iguodola in return for Amarie. I think even doing a deal with Miami involving Amarie and Beasley would be more beneficial than a package of Big Z's expiring deal and Hickson.

I dunno.......Amare and Shaq played together last year right.....? Didn't exactly work out. Realise they'll have LeBron this time around but I'm still not convinced.

Add to that the Cavs are on a 13 game win streak despite Mo & West missing chunks of that and Hickson featuring a lot more prominently (and stepping up). They won't stand pat, but they don't need to go all in with a head case in Amare either, when a Troy Murphy or Jamison will be fine.

For mine Jamison is the best fit, stretches the floor, can cover quicker perimeter forwards better than the other two and presumably would love playing on a great team and won't cause trouble. Stoudemire is more talented offensively but will he stay focussed on defence (hasn't through his career) and / or focussed on the Cavs (given his potential free agency). Murphy isn't shooting as well as last year but causes matchup problems just the same - but they couldn't play him with Shaq - who's guarding the Rashard Lewis', Josh Smith's or KG's / Sheed's of the East?

Going to be interesting though. I still believe we'll see another deal from Dallas (they don't need both Dampier and Haywood when they desperately need a shooter), Cavs (will deal given last year's inactivity and consequences), Celtics (their window is closing and they know it) and Lakers (if they can grab even an average point guard they go back to back IF all are healthy).

Shiit, i just posted a new thread about the amarie rumour.

Can i just say (without reading any other comments) that this years allstar game was very average.

And Sir Charlese is right, the slam dunk comp needs a major overhaul and they need to start attracting some superstars to it.
