All streaks have to end

Well it was great while it lasted, but the only way we look like stringing together another nine weeks undefeated is if Covid 20 takes hold. We've got an extra $60B in the JobKeeper kitty thanks to Joshy boy's remedial mathematics so come on ScoMo, how about docking another cruise ship to Save Our Sharkies.

Baahahaha

Winning football ended when we lost some of our best game breakers and Fifita’s knee died.

We all know who we are talking about here. Maloney, Barba, Ennis, Lewis, Gal & Holmes.

When you compare those names to some of the pea hearts we currently have in our squad it really is chalk and cheese.

Townsend was a serviceable cog back then but no superstar. Even though he thinks he is. (Which is part of the problem). Even his podcast which is as boring as shyte is just like his vanilla football play.

Hopefully Townsend is out of the team for an extended period because I’ll finally be able to judge if John Morris is part of the solution or part of the problem.

If he picks Connor Tracey and the team starts winning again no way in hell should Townsend be near the team again.

I hope you can make some tough decisions Mr.Morris because this team needs to drop some names and give some kids an opportunity in what will be a development year for the Club. We aren’t challenging for anything this year unfortunately.

It’s not Chad giving away penalties on the 5th tackle or throwing shit passes over the sideline.

Don’t worry I don’t think much of that other bludger Shaun Johnson either.

He’s only delivered in a couple of games since he’s been here.

Chad didn’t do those things and he also didn’t do anything a First Grade Halfback should be doing in his first 3 games this season.

His play has never been star quality. It has been just serviceable when he was surrounded by stars.

Now his game has gone down to a shyte low level.

Most here that support him and protect him is just because he’s a a local junior. They really should take those rose coloured glasses off now.

He is surrounded by stars
Wade
Fifita
Johnson
Dugan
Moylan
Woods
they’ve all played the highest level .
The first 2 games we nearly win
The last game if woods wasn’t o the field we probably win.

Xerri getting busted definitely didn’t help
Nor did the fact Chad had a busted thumb then did his hammy.
His first injuries in years.
Not like the other over paid Injury prone bludgers.

Youse are all over looking something, yet I know youse all know.
Flannos buying used to be astute. People who had won GF'S or at least been there. Lewis, Hieghno, Maloney, Prior, Ennis.
Duges was a good replacement for Bird, we have definitely got more out of him than the Broncos have out of Jack.
But
Woods, SJ and Moyza do not fit the programme that Flanno had been running, in fact it's almost like he bought the polar opposite. These guys just aren't winners.
Morris has inherited this problem, it's a very tough assignment for a rookie coach. Personally I don't think he (Morris) was ready and I've said that publicly.
It's either time to give Morris time and let him work his way, knowing that we are going to have a few down years, or get that silver sword out and slice some heads off.
Me? I think we need to do the former, as long as there is a point to an end. I can handle a couple of dull seasons as long as it's pointing somewhere.
By the end of next season I expect to see changes, Until then I'm sorry but we do not have the steel of experience in the side.

Exactly right. Flange panicked or overrated his ability to turn non-winners into Sharks. Either way it's now up to Morris to fix.

Bang on.

Players being referred to as stars on this team these days is overhyped like the players themselves.

Dugan, Moylan, Johnson etc. may have been stars in their younger years but not these days coming to the back end of their careers. Fifita is on one leg and the big fella should consider retiring at the end of the season. He’s just too busted now.
