Time to expose as many of the younger kumuls as possible before the PNG side enters the NRL.

Boroko Motors is thrilled to continue supporting the growth of rugby league in Papua New Guinea.

Now in the third year of a five-year sponsorship with WR Carpenter (PNG) Ltd’s partnership with PNGRFL, we’ve proudly delivered two new D40 Nissan Navaras-bringing the total to 12 vehicles provided to support rugby league programs across the country.

JACOB Lot is set to make his Hostplus Cup debut after the prop was named in the SP PNG Hunters side for Sunday’s Round 8 home fixture against the Wynnum-Manly Seagulls.

The 22-year-old Hela Wigmen forward has played the opening three rounds of the Digicel ExxonMobil Cup and gets his chance in an important match at the Santos National Football Stadium (3pm kick-off).

Really must say I like the direction the hunters are going in these days by playing more and more younger guys as this will benefit not only the hunters in the long run but also the PNG national side and NRL side.

Sanny Wabo has to go to the next level possibly super league.
Morea Morea jnr made his come back for the Port Moresby Vipers in the Digicel Cup on Saturday but I think the only way he gets back in is if Sanny gets injured or gets suspended.

Was also good to see Gairo Voro growing into the five-eight role. He is getting better each week.

And also good to see Trevor Solu take over the goal kicking from Jamie Mavoko. I think he currently has a 100% record the last 3 weeks.

incredible fall for morea morea considering he was the poster boy for the hunters and next big thing etc.

really exciting young halfback partnership of voro&glare for the kumuls.

dont know much about solu i.e. age and former digicel cup team etc but he sure can kick goals.

got to be honest and say that I don’t really rate mavoko at Queensland cup level and think that this should be his last season for the hunters.
