AMNRL to Host World Cup Atlantic Qualifiers

The USA TOMAHAWKS is the national team of the American National Rugby League and thus represent the very elite Rugby League players in this country.

No no no! Tomahawks is the USA national side, not some sort of AMNRL rep team. When is this stupidity going to end?

Hopefully the RLIF will step in soon. Quite clearly something is not right when a competition thinks they are in fact a nation! Maybe they'll get sent to the loony bin for that one!

Check out the list of players for the AMNRL All -Time Team selection. Seems if you are now aligned to a USARL team then you are not worthy of consideration. Grow up David for Christ's sake.

If Tomahawks is a representative team of the AMNRL and not the USA national side then they are not eligible to contest the World Cup qualifiers, and need to be removed from this tournament.

The Axemen are still hopeful that a statement will be made to allow Apple Pope to play for us during 2011. However we have not been told that is possible and at the moment we assume that we will not be considered for Tomahawks duty if he signs with us.

Let's hope cooler heads prevail and Apple is allowed to play. It would be a shame that such a talented player be made to sit on the sidelines.
