The team might have learnt some lessons but what did you learn as a coach?

He is incapable of learning.

Exhibit A: Mid-late in the first half and we are trailing by 14. He replaces McInnes with BHU. Sifa left getting splinters. Again.

Exhibit B: Trailing by 20 points with ~25 minutes to go, and he replaces Sifa with Atkinson because Sifa has played the requisite 20 minutes. Again.

Exhibit C: His continued selection of Atkinson as an "impact player" off the bench, over Hohepa. Or anyone else for that matter.

Exhibit D: Bringing a player back too early from injury to mark up against one of the tallest wingers in the game, instead of debuting Chris Vea'ila. He may not have prevented both those tries, but I'd argue he was a good chance at preventing one of them.

If I could make enquiries about a Fizty replacement- I’d be on the blower asap to Willie Peters.
Heard him interviewed on vossy and brandy a few weeks ago, sounded like a solid option to return from the UK soon, clearly out of the running for Perth. With that said though, Fitz will get an extension when the time comes.

In years to come - with the wisdom that comes with experience and age - the great Futz will look back and give himself an uppercut for the years he wasted on the Nico experiment.

completely outclassed by robbo on the night wasnt he

Indeed he was.

There's plenty of punters out there who claim Robbo is a myth and he only had success due to having a stacked squad.
I think what he's done so far this year puts paid to that.
They've had countless rookies come in this year and none of them look out of place.
It's taken a while for them to find their feet, but the results are starting to come.
With Sam Walker due back in a few weeks, the Rooters are starting to look fairly threatening for mine.

Our lot?
Not so much.
Yes we're capable of turning it on on any given day, as last week will attest.
But week in, week out, no.
And the pillock in charge does nothing to tweak the squad, or address anything which needs addressing.

If he was coaching the Rooters, Chad would still be in firsts.

Why would this Sharks team put in consistent good performances?

Only changes occur through injury. They're extended because they're already in the club - can't let underwhelming players go!

This team plays like a group of entitled players who have an attitude of superstars yet they haven't achieved anything. They don't put in the effort consistently, they don't work consistently, and there is absolutely no drive to win.

To quote Shoresy - They don't hate to lose.

yeah probably

i cant believe he put a bloke coming off a knee injury up against the giraffe
just pick a dude on debut and contest the catch

also where was the kick pressure? hello?

The last line for me.

Plus with the forward pack we put out against theirs they shouldn't have been in position to put in an attacking kick as often as they were

I'm not making excuses for how poor we were but Grant Atkins got them down the field for about the first half hour nitpicking, all defending and scoreboard pressure meant the game was over as a contest quite early *

*I completely agree about no kick pressure and Hiroti being a ridiculous pick, think I even said early last week just put someone on Tupou that can at least contest bombs.

Atkins was terrible, that none call for a high shot on Ramien that they scored on the next set was ridiculous, but if they want to be a serious team they need to play better.

IMO they also need to suck up a few fines and call the BS reffing out. We are a soft target. Instead of arcing up we roll over every time.

Frenzy.

Fellas!! FELLAS!!

Take a chill pill and about 150gm of mushrooms. They are great for PTSD. We don't need a new coach. Yet.

We need new tissues.
