Roosters these days is a graveyard for talent ... Harrison is going from a coach on the rise to a mediocre coach at best ...

Anasta meh all will be revealed ...

Both of them are idiots, if they both went to Souths, the Souths side would be 10 times better than Easts for next year.

next year will decide it, he'll have the players he has chosen, not the inherited ones. Ash Harrison = Class, Anasta has the potential to be class but he's no fittler

That first sentance is as spot on as anything I have read about the Roosters from a doggies supporter on here in over years. He has indeed got the players he wants next year now it is upto him to prove this year was an abberation. Good luck to him.

At least Harrison can bring the Roosters the WINNING Culture.

Lmao - why did he take a pay cut - to stay with a losing cultured club - when Souths win they do hand springs and jump for joy - because its only 4 or 5 times a season they can do it

I just admire the wooden spoons in the Souths Club...painted in a nice green and myrtle

Maybe the players have a simple allergy to brown paper bags. Anasta and Harrison may not be any different, they might start itching and sneezing and carrying on as soon as the bag gets passed under the cafe table?

Fittler made the hole.

Sticky tried to use finch to plug the gap, but the water kept flooding in - sticky tape was never going to work.

Anasta will widen the hole even further and poor Ashley will be there with a bucket.

Still a good pack.
Topou is great and the new centre looks the goods.
Anasta needs an outstanding half to make him look decent, perhaps the Roosters can find one.

I'll ignore all the idiotic posts here and reply to those who have put some though into their answers:

Personally, I think Anasta and Harrison are brilliant buys for the Roosters. Remember how well Finch went last year? He had a blinder because he had support alongside him and could play his own game rather than having to take on responsibility for the rest of the side.

This year he's been burdened by the fact that there is not one other ball-player in that side. Flannery is a handy player but not someone you want running the side in the Fittler capacity. Ricketson is no ball-player, Craig Wing isn't either.

Anasta and Harrison both bring ball-playing ability to the club. Say what you like about Finch but he can fire when he has support and Anasta will provide that alongside him.

So, to me, I would say they are two very well thought out acquisitions.

And to the person who called Ricky a mediocre coach - moron. And I'm not even a Roosters fan!

Well, Finch has more than enough creativity around him, he just has no idea how to be a halfback and organize it. Anasta will help if he can find consitancy

Might be the new Company car courtesy of City Ford.

Make it 8 1/2 Wins, with 2 games to come.

As soon as Breath and Ashley put the red white and blue on their cardiovascular capacity will be reduced to the size of the rest of the pea hearts in Bondi country. That won't do their careers any good at all. The up side is that they are both pretty boys and should fit in well with the rest of the sunsilk set.

How can anyone explain Phil Gould?

And 15 times better than the dirty dogs

No not really. I think Anasta and Finch is a very overrated halves combination and they will struggle, and unfortunately, you got rid of most of your pack to accomodate for the signings of Anasta and Harrison, what a waste :D

Your pack for next year:

8.Tupou
9.Wing
10.Morely
11.Flannery
12.Fitzgibbon
13.Harrison

Our pack for next year:

8.O'Meley
9.Perry
10.Asotasi
11.Mason
12.Ryan
13.Williams

I know which pack I would rather have

I don't even like the Rooters, but god, i'd take their pack over the Dogs pack any day of the week. There's quality from start to finish in the Rooters pack, whereas in the Dogs pack Ryan (2 good seasons his entire career) and Perry (far and away the worst hooker in the comp) are the weak links.

Topou - Future Australian player, the brightest up and coming forward in a long time
Wing - Current Australian player, dynamic, can make things happen.
Morley - Aggressive, strong and quick... Everything you want in a prop
Flannery - Can play anywhere
Fitzgibbon - Workhorse and can kick goals from anywhere
Harrison - Most underrated player in the game

Yeah, the Dogs pack certainly is a fearsome sight in comparison to the Rooters.
