But it can be explained.

When a technology is artificially introduced into a society it just shows up. take native american tribes for example that trade technology between each other. Say archeologist's find a type of pot in new York that hadn't ever been there. It would be assumed that the technology had been introduced likely by trading.

With technology that has been developed like the pyramids in Egypt what is discovered is a chain of failures. There are early proto pyramids in Egypt where they f**ked up.

Like the bent pyramid.

If I jumped back in time to the 50s and showed off my phone they could believe it came from aliens. However we know that modern smart phones have been developed in stages.

I don't like those shows because they are insulting to humans. we are pretty smart. An ancient Egyptian had the same brain as a modern human. They just didn't know as much.

Some episodes are alright, but some episodes they were obviously just reaching to make sure they made enough episodes, which is a shame. The earlier episodes were the better ones, then it got a bit ridiculous.

It should have been nothing more than perhaps a 90 min one off special.

Trying to turn it into a series has meant after 1 or 2 semi decent episodes, they were scratching around making the most obtuse links I've ever heard (Up until I accidentally saw part of a Jesse Ventura conspiracy theory episode where he looked into whether world leaders were actually shape shifting lizards - Yes, he did do that).
