When Hamiso kicked him in the nuts(great kick Hammer) a look at the inset replay shown during the match sees Mitchell whilst diving for the turf, staring at the touch-judge. Hoping to milk a penalty. The real time footage prior shows Mitchell, supposedly in agony(Best Actor Award) looking up to see whether he has caught anyone's attention.

Amazing that he showed zero problems when he returned to the play.

Probably due to Bill's selction of Toia and Shibasaki to mark up against Mitchell and Crighton, much was made about how NSW champion centers would devastate the Maroons.

How pleasing it was then to see how many errors Mitchell made and especially pleasant to see him rush up and cut off Reuben Cotter with 6 minutes to go in the match. Opening a hole on his own try line which enabled Tom Dearden to throw the dummy and run through the gap.
