He was very unfair to us early on. I thought that played some part in our demise. He seemed to square the ledger after the game was shot.

the newcastle caller ( Craig something) said he beleived Clarke had it in for the two cronulla players, BK and bailey, and from that point on cronulla were against it and they(abc radio) said that Clarke should not have been appointed to that game as it was always going to be a sold out newcastle crowd and that clarke being a hometown refferee would be influenced grossly by the crowd and he was. This is the opinion of the abc radio footy callers not me, although i agree with them. They don't want him reffereeing in the semi's as the home team would be favoured under Clarke. And on another note about the refs, the abc says that Mander and Simpkins and Smith are the best refs at the moment.

yeah he put on a good display today robo ( dogs v panthers). As a matter of fact i reckon he's going to be our best ref by this time next year. He also seems to have the respect of the players unlike Clarke.

I likened last nights game to the Melbourne one in reverse....

Same ref except he had it in for melbourne when we played them and we benefited...last night we were the "Storm".

Im not blaming him for the loss...because our defence is disgraceful....but Clarke is a complete dickhead with no respect for the players despite exepcting it from them.
