I can't believe anyone takes things posted by The Whippet seriously. That alleged "story" has so many holes in it it's not funny, not to mention the terrible spelling and grammar mistakes, and of course no link to the reference.

I can never, ever believe anything The Whippet posts because he is ALWAYS posting false news.

Well I basically sumarised what was in the Sunday Telegraph. What other false news have I reported?

Well, there was the time you claimed inside info on the Sharks' financial performance:

The Whippet said:
The Cronulla Sutherland Sharks are set to post a loss between $500 000 and $1 000 000 for the 03/04. This figure is set to worsen for the 04/05 financial year with insiders predicting that the club could make a loss of approx. $2.5 million due to the pokie tax and the club been sued by Chris Anderson and Jarred Anderson which could total $1.5 million.

The Whippet said:
My source?

This is an amalgamation of information from newspapers, numerous emails to the club, reports and a report into the effect of the pokie tax. I've spent tireless hours reading the information listed above and believe that I have figures almost correct if they are wrong I believe that I would only be $100 000 out.

And that Chris Anderson would win his court case against the Sharks:

The Whippet said:
Chris Anderson has my 100% support and sought of see him as a role model.

I do think that the Cronulla board was a bit stupid not paying out any money too him and not expected to be sued.

I know that Chris Anderson will win his court case against Cronulla Sutherland and they deserve everything they get.

And that was just your first month. Wrong all over the place.

Apology retracted. I knew I'd seen you do it somewhere.

Green returns to the Cowboys
February 11, 2005

North Queensland CEO Dennis Keefe announced this evening that the North Queensland Toyota Cowboys have signed Paul Green to a one year deal.

Green will return to the Cowboys after a stint with the club during the woeful Sheens era.

"We are looking to strengthen the halves and Paul will also give us much more experience." Keefe said.

Skipper Travis Norton wasalso full of praise for Green after being alerted of the news.

"Once he gets fit again he could work wonders for us[ The Cowboys]. Norton said.

"He's got an excellent attitude and having played against him before I can't fault him."

This will undoubtedly put added pressure on the likes of Kieran Kerr, Chris Sheppard, David Myles and former Bulldog Jonathon Thurston.

Green was overwhlemed when approached by the Cowboys on Wednesday of this week.

"I thought footy was all over for me, it didn't work out at the Broncos the way I'd hoped so hopefully I can finish off well with the Cowboys."

With what should be the last of the Cowboys signings it will be interesting as to whether Green can stake his claim in the top grade having to beat the likes of Sheppard, Thurston and Kerr to the No. 7 jersey.

I guess that stands to reason when Anderson claims that he only needs a couple of props, a halfback and another 10 athletes.
