And that is why Saints need Illawarra....Their juniors are far better than in the St George district. This merger is not as bad as people like to put it, just very poorly managed. It is an ideal setup for someone like Ivan Cleary and Bellamy who recognise good talent, know how to play then to get the best out of them and have the system in place for long term success.

St George does not need to be in a JV to secure juniors from Illawarra. Other NRL Clubs make these juniors an attractive offer and sign them up.

Instead of the JV, Illawarra should be bought out by St George and then run as a Junior Rugby League Club offering scholarships to players. St George should do the same in their district (form a Junior League Club).

In the case of Reed, we deem him too young and not big enough, but play him in reserve grade against players of a similar size to those in first grade.

Letting him go was the dumbest move, I wonder if Fraudagan ever bothered watching Ramsey's highlights from the 2022 season?
Hook to his credit, saw the potential in Ramsey and was one of the few juniors he gave a real crack which reaped rewards up until his dreadful illness.

More likely Dufty, Ramsey seems smart enough to know he is better off in the Easts system.

The changerooms were a much happier place when he was about.

On the field he competes to the death and in the clear can't be caught.

He had to go away and improve his game at one point and boy did he improve!! That's not often something you see at our club anymore.

Matt, how do we no the revruitment set up who negotiates the deal who sets the price to pay the type of player looked for even is it just flanno that says dont want him we ad fans have no idea but remember the clun gave flanno total control on signings until anderson came on board this year.

Once Flanno is out of the way, hopefully Ando can try and recruit us some backs.. but if anyone thought it was hard to recruit before.. try after 10 straight losses.
